Hi, co-founders of Carat & Kin here

Yasha & I, we are dreamers & coffee lovers who accidentally landed into the jewellery world. MBA graduates from ISB, we started Carat & Kin together to solve a problem that originated in our own home. What happened? You may ask, the tea is: Yasha’s mom got duped while buying jewellery from a trusted age-old family jeweler and that was our trigger. We started digging into the jewellery world. The deeper we went, the graver the inconsistencies we witnessed.

A year later Carat & Kin was born simply because we were very disappointed with how all fine jewelry: gemstones, gold and diamond have been looked at in India. Westernised copy-pasted designs, limited use cases and anything remotely relating to our indianness have been put into the bridal section.

We are here to bring back our Indian culture in jewellery, out of the shackles of dark lockers which are only visited once. If stunning gemstone-lab diamond and gold jewelry brewed over our rich Indian culture, wearable everyday is your thing, welcome home, you’ve found your people! We are here to put on a ‘proudly inspired by Indian culture’ tag to your everyday fine jewellery staples!
